CCP x ICanServe: Photography for a Purpose

The Camera Club of the Philippines (CCP), the oldest and most prestigious photography club in the country, has joined forces with the ICanServe Foundation for a moving collaborative project titled “Icons of Hope.”

Launched as part of ICanServe’s 25th anniversary celebration, this partnership aims to shine a light on breast cancer awareness through a powerful visual lens. Member-photographers from the CCP volunteered their time and expertise to capture the portraits of breast cancer survivors, volunteers, and advocates.

More Than Just a Diagnosis

The campaign aligns with the global “More Than” initiative, emphasizing that women living with or surviving cancer are more than their disease. Through the art of photography, the CCP captured the unique spirit, strength, and intentionality of these “Icons of Hope.”

  • Storytelling Through Portraits: Each photograph is paired with a first-person narrative, giving survivors a platform to share their journeys—from the initial shock of diagnosis to the wisdom gained through recovery.

  • Visual Advocacy: By showcasing these vibrant, living examples of hope on social media and digital platforms, the campaign encourages early detection and removes the stigma often associated with the illness.

  • Community Support: The project highlights the “sisterhood” of ICanServe, proving that in the fight against breast cancer, no woman has to walk alone.

A Legacy of Awareness

For the Camera Club of the Philippines, this collaboration represents a meaningful way to use their craft for social good. By documenting the resilience of these women, they have created a timeless gallery that serves as both a tribute to survivors and a vital reminder for every Filipina to prioritize their breast health.

Volunteer photographers include Dr. Necy Juat, Marivic Silva, Patrick Uy, Jimmy Hermogenes, Annabelle Chavez, Miko Montifar among others.
