CCP Trivia: 1933 Publication featuring Vicente Mills

In 1933, Zoilo M. Galang released “Encyclopedia of the Philippines” published by P. Vera & Sons Company. The volume about Philippine art includes ancient arts, architecture, decorative arts, metallic art, painting, photography, and sculpture. The lone example of photography is on page 549. It was awarded a Diploma of Honor at the Kodak International Salon World Contest of 1931 held in Geneva. Mills is a founding member of the Camera Club of the Philippines established in 1928. The Club is beginning preparations for its centenary in 2028.
