November 2010 Model of the Month

The members who braved the rains to attend the November 2010 meeting at Rockwell were in for a treat. On hand to pose for a pictorial that evening was Sheree, the popular Filipina singer, dancer and model who was voted in 2003 as the third sexiest woman in the world by FHM Magazine (Philippines). Armed with a bubbly personality and measuring 33-24-34, her finely cut figure puts the coca-cola bottle to shame.

Sheree was born and raised in Cagayan de Oro and graduated with a degree in International Studies from the Ateneo de Cagayan. At the onset, she set herself for a career on stage starting out as a stage actor for Trumpets and appearing in a production of the popular Walt Disney musical, The Little Mermaid. Shortly afterwards, she packed her bags to take her musical career to the USA – she lived and worked as a singer in Alexandria, Virginia where she did jazz and later on discovered R&B.

The cold climate did not suit her though. Upon the invitation of Patricia Javier, she came back home to Manila to dance in the MTV of Patricia’s new album and to do other local gigs. A photoshoot soon landed her on the cover of FHM, after which doors of opportunity opened for her – such as her role on the primetime GMA soap “Habang Kapiling Ka”. She also eventually joined the popular group, the Viva Hot Babes from 2003 to 2005 and appeared in several movies.

In 2005 she launched her first solo album and was nominated as best R&B singer in the Hip Hop Awards. More recently, she just finished appearing in another top-rating soap, “Immortal” (co-starring Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz) where she played a young Vivian Velez. She is currently rehearsing to appear in a new production of the musical “Rent” to run this December 2010 in Rockwell. She is also preparing to release her second solo album.

On a personal note, Sheree is also a passionate photographer. Armed with her trusty Canon 350D and her favorite 70-300mm telezoom, she likes taking candid portraits of interesting subjects “paparazzi” style, during her travels or from her condo’s balcony high above the streets. She loves gadgets, notably Apple and Mac products and her Canon G10 camera, and is also a self-confessed sweet tooth, feasting on her favorite Swiss chocolates when she can.

That, in a nutshell, sums up my fine impressions of our super shapely and super nice November model of the month, Sheree.
