Master Photographer
A photography club is not complete without a photo competition among its members. Our club has nine (9) monthly themed contests and at least four (4) On-The-Spot or OTS contests. OTS contests are conducted at a specific place given a specific time. Normally, ours would consist of two locations within the Metro and two out of town places. Lately we have included an international OTS where our budget permits it.
By November of each year, all the scores have been tallied and the member with the highest accumulated contest score and bonus points is declared as the Master Photographer for the year.
Master Photographers are a rare breed. Only one is selected per year among a crop of professionals and dedicated hobbyists. What is even rarer about this year’s Master Photographer is that he achieved that singular distinction within his first year of being a regular member in the Club.
