Tilak Hettige grew up in Sri Lanka. His work has been published in several media and also as creative fine arts internationally. Images from his many solo exhibitions can be found in several prominent private collections across the globe.
Tilak conducts monthly photography workshops in the Philippines. In addition to being a photography teacher, he is also a contributing editor of the photography magazine IMag. His other books published by Marshall Cavendish include Saffron Robes: A Photographic Essay on Buddhist Monks and Tilaka: The Spiritual Third Eye.
