Eighteen (18) years ago today, Rudy de Leon was up on a good start. Not only did he bag the Photograph of the Month title for this February meet, he also won the title Photographer of the Month, for two consecutive months. For this competition themed ‘Still Life’, the master’s winning photo was an abstract rendition of an umbrella hanging in a closet suspended in black space. Not farther behind was entries from fellow members Pancho Escaler and Elbert Zosa. Unfortunately, not all entries were given the nod by the judges as only 60% of the 78 entries made the mark.
